Yeh Raat Fir Nahi Aayegi- 1966
Back in 1966, Sharmila Tagore played a ghost in this movie. She was a beautiful and sanskari ghost. There was no doubt; she was not a stuff of horror movies.
Woh Phir Aayegi- 1988
The 1988 horror movie is one of the saddest excuses of a horror movie. Moon Moon Sen played the role of a “dukhiyari” and evil spirit. She wore the traditional white saree (as the dress code for the ghosts back then).
House no 13- 1991
Speaking of Bollywood female ghosts? We cannot forget about this one. Released in 1991 the movie made the ghost wrapped in white saree.
Raat- 1992
This movie went against the traditional white saree as they displayed the ghost in other clothes. Due to the iconoclast approach, this is one of the best thriller movies directed by Ram Gopal Verma.
Bhoot- 2003
Although Urmila Matondkar played the role of a housewife and the ghost but the white saree was not present. No doubt, Ram Gopal Verma redefined the horror movies in Bollywood.
Krishna Cottage- 2004
Sexy Isha Koppikar played the role of a ghost in the movie. Although she was a ghost but it was a glamorous one.
Aatma – 2006
This movie can be considered as the renaissance of the old school Bollywood female ghosts. The ghost in the movie was wrapped in plain clothes and “Sanskaars”.
1920 The Evil Returns- 2012
This movie focused on plain clothes to make it look scarier but it failed to scare the moviegoers.
Talaash- 2012
Kareena Kapoor played the role of a ghost in the movie. Undoubtedly, that was one of the most glamorous ghosts in Bollywood movies.
Great Grand Masti- 2016
Urvashi Rautela broke the stereotypes attached with the ghosts. She also wore bikini in the movie. Clearly, all of us want this kind of ghosts around us.
