It belongs to Mukesh Ambani, chairman of the second-largest oil and gas company in India, Reliance Industries. The house has six levels just for parking. It has a ballroom, three helipads, space for 168 cars, gardens, temple etc.

 

2. Villa Leopolda, France – $750 million

Villa Leopolda is a villa on the French Riviera in the town of Villefrance-sur-Mer. King Leopold II of Belgium built it in 1902. A Russian billionaire has made history by purchasing the most expensive home on earth Villa Leopolda for about $750 million. The villa has 19 bedrooms, two guest houses, a swimming pool and more than 20 acres of land. It has greenhouse, outdoor kitchen, pool and helipad.

 

3. Tour Odeon – $400 million

The shiny 49-story Tour Odeon building hasn’t even opened its doors. The 35,500-square-foot apartment is expected to sell for almost $400 million. It is 560-foot and is the second tallest building on the Mediterranean skyline.

 

4. Palazzo di Amore – $195 million

The Palazzo di Amore in Beverly Hills is a Mediterranean-style villa that tops 53,000 square feet of space and 15,000 of that is an entertainment complex containing a ballroom with a revolving dance floor. It has 12 bedrooms, 23 bathrooms, a bowling alley, a theater, tennis courts, swimming pools, reflecting pools, waterfalls and a garage that can comfortably fit 27 cars.

 

5. Xanadu 2.0 – $125.5 million

Xanadu 2.0 owned by Bill Gates is valued at $125.5 million is an earth-sheltered house. It is a 66, 000 square foot smart complex with 3,900 square foot pool building, 2,500 square foot gym, library, reception hall, underground garage etc.

It took 7 years to build. The house has 24 bathrooms, 10 of which are full baths. It’s named after the home of the title character in “Citizen Kane.”

 

6. Fleur de Lys Mansion, Los Angeles – $102 million

The house was recently sold for a whopping amount of $102 million to a highly secretive French billionaire. It is the highest-priced home sale to date in Los Angeles County. It has 12 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a ballroom, two kitchens, a massive movie theater, a pool, tennis courts, and a nine-car garage. It was built in 2002 and has a library, commercial kitchen, cutlery room, spa, tasting room etc. It’s filled with antique furnishings, which were included in the $102 million sale price.

 

7. Central Park West, New York – $100 million

The hedge fund manager John A. Paulson announced a $100 million gift to the Central Park Conservancy which is popularly known as Limestone Jesus in New York City. It is the largest monetary donation in the history of New York City’s park system. Rumors did rounds back in 2012 about the selling of the property for $100 million, but nothing such happened still.

 

8. Kensington Palace Gardens – $89.4 million

Indian steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal calls this Kensington Palace Gardens home his “Taj Mittal.” He bought it for $89.4 million from business magnate Bernie Eccclestone in 2004. It has 55,000 square feet of space, 12 bedrooms, a Turkish bath, swimming pool, picture gallery and ballroom.
