After an exciting match between MI and DD, Match 56 of IPL 2018 takes places between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The match took place at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. CSK won the toss and they decided to bowl first. Here’s how the match went down.

The bowlers of this match are Deepak Chahar (4.0), Lungi Ngidi (4.0), Dwayne Bravo (4.0), Shardul Thakur (3.4), Ravindra Jadeja (3.0) and Harbhajan Singh (1.0). Lungi Ngidi did an outstanding job today as he took 4 Wickets and gave off only 10 runs in his overs. Shardul Thakur and Dwayne Bravo took 2 wickets each. Deepak Chahar and Ravindra Jadeja both took one wickets each. The bowlers did well and in 19.4 overs, they were able to remove all the wickets in KXIP team. For a score of 153, the KXIP team was all out.

 

KXIP Batting

Karun Nair scored the most in this game. he scored 54 runs off 26 balls with 3 boundaries and 5 sixers. Following him, Manoj Tiwary scored 35 runs off 30 balls with 3 boundaries and 1 sixer. David Miller scored 24 and Axar Patel scored 14. Other than that, Aaron Finch, K.L Rahul, Mohit Sharma and Ankit Rajpoot were all dismissed in just single digi runs. Chris Gayle, Ravichandran Ashwin and Andrew Tye were dismissed without scoring any runs for duck. The team didn’t do very well as they were all dismissed for a total of 153 runs in 19.4 overs.

 

KXIP Bowling

The bowlers of the match were Ankit Rajpoot, Andrew Tye, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin who bowled 4 overs each and Mohit Sharma bowled 3.1 overs as he bowled the last over. Ankit and Ashwin both took 2 wickets each while Mohit took one wicket. Andrew Tye gave off the most runs as in his over 47 runs was scored. The bowlers tried their best to protect their score.

Suresh Raina gave an outstanding performance. He scored 61 runs out of 48 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixers. Deepak Chahar scored 39 runs in 20 balls with one boundary and 3 sixers. Dhoni sealed the deal as he finished the match in style with a beautiful sixer, scoring the victory for CSK. They chased the score and scored 159 runs in 5 wickets in 19.1 overs.
