After a series of matches the previous day, Day 6, FIFA 2018 had three matches lined up. They were Colombia vs Japan, Poland vs Senegal and Russia vs Egypt. Read on to know more about the match summaries of the games from Day 6.

 

Colombia Vs Japan

The match was held at Mordovia Arena. Japan was quick enough to score a goal with a penalty kick at the 6th minute. Shinji Kagawa scored the 1st goal for Japan giving it a 1 point lead. After several attempts from Colombia, they scored a goal at the 39th minute. Juan Fernando Quintero scored one for Colombia making it 1 –  1 with Japan. At halftime, the score was 1 – 1. Japan scored another one at the 73rd minute as Yuya Osako scored one assisted by K. Honda. Japan took the lead which lasted till the end and gave Japan the ultimate victory with 2 – 1 score.

 

Poland Vs Senegal

The match was held at Spartak Stadium. This was the first ever encounter between Poland and Senegal. At the 37th Minute, Senegal scored one goal. Sadly, it was an own goal for Poland as Thiago Cionek wrongfooted the ball into the net. At halftime, the score was 0 – 1 with Senegal in the lead. Senegal took the lead further by scoring another goal at the 60th minute. M’Baye Niang scored one for the team making it 0 – 2. After several attempts, Grzegorz Krychowiak scored one for Poland at the 86th minute making the score 1 – 2. The score stayed the same at the end of the match and Senegal won the match.

 

Russia Vs Egypt

The match took place at Saint Petersburg Stadium. This was the first ever encounter between Russia and Egypt. Even after several attempts, the score at halftime was 0 – 0. Neither of the teams scored but don’t let this fool you as the second half of the game was in for a ride. Ahmed Fathy from team Egypt scored an own goal giving Russia the lead at the 47th minute. Denis Cheryshev scored the second goal for Russia at the 59th minute and made the score 2 – 0. Following him, at the 62nd minute, Artem Dzyuba scored the third goal for Russia making it 3 – 0. After several attempts, Egypt scored a penalty goal. Mohamed Salah managed to land the ball firing past the keeper. A tremendous game, it ended with a 3 – 1 score and Russia won the match.
