India, a country where all people from different religions live together and work together. A country that teaches the lesson of Unity in diversity and more importantly respects each other faith, culture, and religion. Recently, long-awaited Supreme court judgment in Ayodhya land dispute was delivered and both the community remained calm and showcased the mindblowing image of unity and brotherhood. There are many instances where you will see amazing examples of unity and solidarity between these two communities Hindu-Muslim. From celebrating the festivals together to taking care of each other shrines, let us see a few of the heartwarming incidents of Hindu-Muslim Unity.

 

1. Muslim Man Taking Care Of Hindu Temple

Motibar Rahman, a Muslim man is a resident of state Assam. He is taking care of a Hindu temple over there. He told the sources, that his family has been the keepers of  Burha Gosair Than and they use to sweep the shrine every morning and lights candlers for Shiva. for the past 500 years. Before me, my father used to do this work and my forefathers. This is one of the perfect examples of the existing Hindu-Muslim harmony in India.

 

2. Bengali Family Worships Muslim Girl In Durga Puja

Another beautiful example of Hindu-Muslim unity was seen on Durga Puja last month. A Bengali family worshipped a 4-year-old Muslim girl as Kumari. Kumari is a kind of ritual which takes place on the eighth day of Navratri, i.e. on Durga Ashtami where girls are worshipped as Goddess. This is the beauty of India.

 

3. Humanity Is Bigger Religion

In Gujarat, three Muslim brothers followed Hindu customs for a day, to perform last rites on their father’s friend Bhanushankar of more than four decades, who was a Brahmin. All three Naseer, Abu, and Zuber Qureshi are laborers and have never skipped a Ramzan fast and offer namaz five times a day. But when their uncle passed away, they decided to perform the last rites as per Hindu rituals. In order to do that, they have commuted Janeu. This is an extraordinary example of Humanity.

 

4. Twin Mandir-Masjid In Varanasi

At Varanasi, Lat Bhairav Mandir and Lat Masjid are located in close proximity. In the evening, Ramleela and Namaz happen side by side and people hear the sound of Chaupais and Namaz together. This practice has been continuing for more than three centuries and also completed 350 years.

 

5. Muslim Man Making Dussehra Effigies

Jafar Ali belongs to the small town of nearby Mathura. He is a Muslim and kept his family tradition of making Dussehra effigies. He uses to prepare Ravana effigies for the occasion of Dussehra. A festival which is celebrated in India because of the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana. He told that his family is doing this work for the past three generations. Another example of brotherhood in India.

 

6. Muslims Join Hands To Rebuild Kali Temple

The Muslim community at Nanoor in Birbhum district of Bengal joined hands to rebuild the Kali temple. As per the sources, the temple was dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kali but had to be demolished for widening the village road a couple of years back. Therefore neighbors collected the funds and bought a land and started constructing the Kali temple so that Puja can be performed in this year of Kali Puja. Muslim community joined the campaign to raise funds for it and also collected Rs 7 lakh from a total of Rs 10 lakh. Another beautiful example of Hindu-Muslim communal harmony.
