Today, Sunrisers Hyderabad‘s Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals Amit Mishra also tested positive today. This leads to the suspension of IPL indefinitely. It was reported that Varun Chakravarthy went for his knee scans. Probably from there, the bio bubble has been breached. Now the question will also be raised about the upcoming T20 World Cup in India in the month of October.

BCCI officials also confirmed that IPL has been suspended indefinitely due to coronavirus pandemic. With cases rising the player’s safety is of utmost importance, hence BCCI has decided to suspend this season. The testing of all the team members is regularly going on and four players came coronavirus positive in two days. There are chances that many more players and staff members may also get affected due to this coronavirus. In this situation, continuing the Indian Premier League is not possible. Hence the BCCI has decided to indefinitely suspend IPL.
Now, IPL has been postponed. If it is canceled altogether, the BCCI will incur a loss of around 2000 crores. Also, the T20 World Cup to be hosted in India this year is also be under threat. We think it is a good decision from BCCI because players’ safety is more important.
There were six venues allotted for IPL. The players need to travel at this tough time. It can be one of the reasons why the bio bubble has been breached. It is not good news for cricket fans. The coronavirus has already affected people and IPL was giving them entertainment.
