Shark Tank India is one of the most-watched programs on Indian television. Aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their company models to a panel of investors (sharks) to persuade them to invest money in their idea in this business reality show. Ever since the premiere of season 2, the show and the judges have been caught in several controversies and criticisms. Recently, industrialist Harsh Goenka tweeted about the financial losses Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, and Amit Jain are suffering. Apart from BoAt co-founder Aman Gupta, all the other sharks suffer huge losses. Sharing the numbers, Harsh Goenka tweeted and wrote,
I enjoy #SharkTankIndia as a program and I think it is a great platform for our budding entrepreneurs. 1 But whenever I think of sharks, I think of the movie ‘Jaws’ and bleeding 🩸!

Anupam Mittal reacted to the tweet and replied,
“I know you meant it in jest so with all due respect sir, I think u reacted to what appears to be superficial, biased & incomplete data. Happy to learn from stalwarts, but just to clarify, like u, the sharks don’t bleed red, we bleed blue & that’s why we do what we do.”

Many users replied to the tweet and wrote that instead of words, Anupam Mittal should have replied with numbers. A few days back, Ankit Uttam, in a LinkedIn post, claimed that the companies run by the sharks are down with huge losses except Aman Gupta’s boAt. What do you guys think about it?
