A Delhi Resident SetsThe Record
A man established a Guinness World Record under his name by visiting 286 metro stations on the Delhi Metro in 15 hours, 22 minutes, and 49 seconds. The record was made by freelance researcher Shashank Manu, who is located in Delhi.
Shashank adores using the Delhi Metro, and by April 2021, he plans to have visited all 286 stations. To break the Guinness World Record, Shashank set off on his journey on the blue line at five in the morning. At the Brigadier Hoshiar Singh station on the green line of the Delhi Metro, he was able to go through 286 metro stops till 8:30 p.m.
But he was unable to receive accreditation from Guinness World Records due to a misunderstanding. The prize was given to Prafull Singh as a result of the confusion.

He finished the whole metro route in 16 hours and 2 minutes in August 2021. The following year, Sashank completed the walk in 15 hours, 22 minutes, and 49 seconds. Shashank used a one-day tourist pass, which allowed him to take as many one-day rides as he wanted on the day of his record-breaking journey to finish it.
Shashank Manu Shares His Experience
Manu was able to win the Guinness World Record two years after he first set it in April 2023 because of the error. Manu had the idea to cover every metro station in India during the COVID outbreak, he told The Indian Express.
When metro services resumed after the closure, he made the decision to record. He made a point of shooting pictures at every metro station to record his journey. Additionally, he obtained “independent witnesses” to sign a receipt so that the other passengers could vouch for the images.
In order to confirm his record, he also shot an unedited video of the whole endeavor. He made sure that his video was being continually captured while he was on the road. This allowed him to keep track of the times when the doors of the train coaches opened and closed at various stations.
