Abdul Qadir was traveling with his wife and 8-year-old son; the family was traveling from Hyderabad to Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. They had a layover at Bhopal’s Rani Kamala Pati railway station when he urgently needed to urinate but couldn’t find a restroom nearby. To use the restroom, Abdul boarded the Indore-bound Vande Bharat train. However, upon exiting the bathroom, he realized that he was trapped inside and the vehicle had started moving. This move set the poor man up for a rather expensive experience. Despite seeking help from the ticket collector and police personnel on the vehicle, Qadir could not open the doors. Abdul expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of emergency services at the Vande Bharat train. This incident exposed the flaws in the emergency services provided by the train.

As a result, he had to pay a fine of Rs 1020 for his unintentional adventure. Abdul Qadir has to pay an additional Rs 750 for his bus ticket back to Bhopal. During the incident, Abdul’s wife and son were left worrying about his safety at the Bhopal station and decided not to board the train, which led to another loss of the Rs 4,000 spent on unused railway tickets, which led to a loss of about Rs 6,000.

The PRO of the Bhopal railway division explained that announcements were made before closing the vehicle’s doors. He added that the doors are locked for the passenger’s safety, and orders from higher positions are required to stop the train.

Whose fault was this? Was it Abdul Qadir’s fault for using the restroom on a train or the authority for not providing restrooms? Who do you think is guilty?
