Anju is currently in a remote village in Pakistan near Lahore. Anju has traveled to the Upper Dir district of Pakistan’s tribal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on a valid Pakistani visa of Pakistan’s to meet Nasrulla. According to Pakistan’s high commission, she is visiting Pakistan on a 30-day tourist visa. Subsequently, she’ll return to India when her visa expires on August 20, 2023. The villagers also want Anju to safely return to India as they don’t want any bad name in their community due to the incident. Anju possessed a valid passport which was issued in 2020.

Nasrulla’s Take On The Incident

The 29-year-old Pakistani resident states, “Anju is on a visit to Pakistan, and we have no plan to marry. She will return to her country on August 20 after her visa expires.” Nasrulla even clarified that Anju is on a visit to Pakistan and is staying in a separate room at his home, accompanied by other female members of his family. The district administrator has provided Anju with adequate security, which ensures her safety during her stay.

This action has left both the countries and their administrations in shock. The woman’s family is praying for safety and a safe return to her hometown. Many people even compared this incident with the Seema Haidar case, when the woman illegally entered India via Nepal to meet her online friend.
