On May 5, 2024, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) will take place. It will be administered via pen and paper or OMR mode. Furthermore, all applicants may complete the application by going to the assigned website to be considered for admission to the undergraduate medical program. Regarding the application form, NTA is probably going to start the registration procedure the following month (February 2024). The results for NEET (UG) 2024 will be released by the second week of June of that year. NTA has not yet disclosed the time and date of NEET 2024 registration.

For admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (UG)) must be administered as a standard and uniform test by Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.

The sole place for candidates to apply for NEET (UG) is online at https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Any other format for the application form will not be accepted. Candidates are only required to submit one application.

Based on the previous year’s trends, NTA began the NEET UG registration process on March 6, 2023. Applicants had until April 6 to turn in their applications. The NTA’s official NEET (UG)-2023 website was https://neet.nta.nic.in.

According to the proviso under Section 14(1) of the NMC Act (2019), NEET (UG) has been a qualifying entrance exam for admission to the MBBS/BDS courses in AIIMS and JIPMER since 2020 (although such medical institutions are controlled under separate statutes). How To Register?

  • Go to neet.nta.nic.in/, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test’s official website (NEET-UG).
  • Find the registration link on the homepage.
  • Register on the portal by entering your login credentials.
  • Enter the password and ID generated by the system after registering.
  • Complete the application by entering your basic information.
  • Upload the required files. Make the application fee payment.
  • Fill out the application and download a copy for your records.

  • The recent photograph should be either in color or black and white, with 80% of the face (without mask) visible, including ears, against a white background.
  • Scanned photographs, signatures, and left and right-hand finger and thumb impressions should be in JPG format (clearly legible).
  • Scanned Category Certificate (if applicable), Citizenship Certificate (if applicable), and PwBD Certificate (where applicable) should be in pdf format (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 kb and 200 kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned Postcard photograph (4″ x 6″) should be between 10 kb – 200 kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb and 30 kb (clearly legible)
  • As per the template provided, the size of the scanned left and right-hand fingers and thumb impressions should be between 10 kb to 200 kb. viii. The size of the scanned copy of the category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS, etc.) should be in pdf format between 50kb to 300kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned copy of the PwBD certificate should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible)
  • The size of the scanned copy of the Class 10 pass certificate should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the scanned copy of the citizenship certificate, embassy certificate, or any documentary proof of citizenship certificate should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
  • The size of the address proof of the present address and the permanent address should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
