One of our proud Indian cultures is “Atithi Devo Bhava” which means “The Guest is God”. In every house, this culture is followed even to this date. However, it’s not possible to see this in hotels or restaurants these days. But this restaurant is so special that it treats customers as guests just like in family.
It gives a peaceful environment and whoever comes to this restaurant feels love and generosity.
They serve without any price tag and whoever comes here are free to pay how much they want and they even can walk out without paying money for the food they take.
How “Seva Cafe” Started?
“Seva Cafe” –a restaurant located in Ahmedabad is powered by generosity rather than a focus on profit is the idea of Siddharth Sthalekar and his wife Lahar. Both wife and husband quit a lucrative job to explore alternatives to the premise of accumulation. They visited several non-profit organizations and woke up to the concept of gift economy where goods and services are extended unconditionally and without any formal quid pro quo.
All the items are freshly made and served absolutely at NO COST.
