On January 16, Saif Ali Khan faced a dangerous situation when he was attacked in his Bandra home during what seemed to be a robbery attempt. Saif Ali Khan was bleeding and urgently needed to get to the hospital. The was no car or driver available at the time, so his son Ibrahim Ali Khan made a quick decision to use a nearby auto-rickshaw, which ended up saving Saif’s life. The auto driver was Bhajan Singh.

The auto driver, Bhajan Singh, didn’t realize he was transporting a famous actor Saif Ali Khan at first. “I thought I was helping an injured man,” Singh later said. Saif was in pain and bleeding from his back but somehow managed to walk to the rickshaw with the help of his children, including Taimur, and two women who helped him into the auto. Singh drove as quickly as possible and reached Lilavati Hospital in about seven to eight minutes.

When they arrived, the hospital staff rushed to help as soon as they realized it was Saif Ali Khan. His injury was serious, with blood flowing from his back. Singh recalled staying focused on getting Saif to the hospital as soon as possible. He showed incredible calm and kindness during the emergency.

In the rush of the moment, with no personal driver available, Ibrahim decided to use the first transport he could find—a nearby rickshaw. This quick thinking proved to be critical. Using the rickshaw allowed Saif to reach the hospital on time, preventing further complications.

Bhajan Singh later shared that he wasn’t thinking about money or recognition that night. “I just wanted to help,” he said. Although Saif and his family didn’t pay him at the time, Singh was later recognized for his efforts. He received ₹11,000 from an institution as a reward for his bravery and quick action. Despite this, Singh remained humble and said he was happy to help someone in need.
