This huge success is largely attributed to his trainer, Vinod Channa. Vinod Channa is one of the most popular celebrity trainers. Consequently, he has trained Bollywood stars like John Abraham and Shilpa Shetty. While training Anant, he closely monitored Anant’s calorie intake and restricted it to a mere 1200 calories per day.

While talking about his fitness training trainer, Vinod said, as we quote,

“During the first phase, we focused on his nutrition which included protein, low carbs, fibers, etc. We started walking from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on his capacity. Initially, the workouts were low on intensity as he was unable to do high sets, and high reps due to his medical issue and body-balancing problems.”

As per reports, Anand spent about  5–6 hours per day doing yoga, weight training, functional training, a 2-kilometer walk, and cardio. This consequently helped him to lose a lot of weight. Anant altogether avoided all kinds of junk food and thus resorted to a low-carb, low-fat, high-protein, and sugar-free diet, ingesting 1200–1400 calories per day, mostly from dairy products, fresh vegetables, lentils, and sprouts.

“Anant was highly asthmatic, so we had to put him on a lot of steroids. He suffers from obesity. Hence, the treatment for asthma resulted in a lot of weight gain.”

Because they help to lessen inflammation and edema in the airways. However, this is also true that long-term steroid usage can contribute to weight gain as it increases appetite.
