In a welcome move for devotees, the administration of the renowned Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has decided to extend the darshan timings due to overwhelming footfall. The decision is a relief for many who were previously unable to visit the temple within the limited hours.
Extended Darshan Hours
Morning darshan will now be available from 7 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., providing ample time for devotees to seek blessings during the first half of the day. The evening shift has been significantly extended, allowing devotees to darshan until 10 p.m. A three-hour extension from the previous closing time of 7 p.m. This move is aimed at accommodating the massive influx of devotees. Also, approximately five lakh are currently camping in Ayodhya, eagerly awaiting their turn to witness the divine presence of Ram Lalla.

To manage the unprecedented crowd, the Ayodhya district administration urges devotees to plan their visits strategically, preferably after 10-15 days. This request is intended to ensure a smoother darshan experience for everyone and to avoid overcrowding at the temple.

With the safety and well-being of devotees in mind, security arrangements in Ayodhya have been significantly strengthened. Over eight thousand policemen have been deployed to monitor the system and maintain law and order. Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar and Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad are personally overseeing the situation in Ayodhya.
