Nisha Upadhyay, a Bhojpuri folk singer, was shot at a live concert in Bihar. The musician is being treated at Patna’s Max Hospital after suffering a bullet wound from an accidental celebratory gunfire event while performing on stage.
Nisha Upadhyay is a well-known folk singer from the small village of Gaur Basant in Bihar’s Saran district. She is famous for her fascinating versions of popular songs like “Le Le Aaaye Coca Cola,” “Navkar Mantra,” “Dholida Dhol Re Vagad,” and “Hasi Hasi Jaan Marela.” Nisha has risen to prominence in the music industry thanks to her captivating voice and talent. Nisha Upadhyay Incident
The incident occurred at a private gathering in Sendhuar village. It is under the authority of the district’s Janata Bazar police station, where Nisha Upadhyay was performing on stage. Nisha was quickly rushed to Max Hospital in Patna as a result of the event, and her health is currently stable. Her relatives have also arrived at the hospital.
A man named Virendra Singh had invited Nisha Upadhyay to Sendhuar village. Unfortunately, several others began firing shots into the air during the ceremony, and one of the bullets injured Nisha’s leg. As a result, mayhem ensued at the venue, and those responsible for the celebratory gunfire fled the scene.
The Incident Is Under Investigation
Nasiruddin Khan, SHO of Janata Bazar police station, said, “As soon as we received information about celebratory firing in the event, we reached there. Bhojpuri singer Nisha Upadhyay sustained a gunshot injury in her leg. We are making efforts to identify the accused. Formal complaints have not been received so far.”
According to a police official involved in the investigation, despite receiving information regarding the occurrence, no written complaint has been submitted as of yet. Authorities are intensively investigating the circumstances around the gunshots to identify those responsible.
