According to Harinarayan Chari Mishra, the presence of smoke in various regions may cause the fire to re-ignite. However, teams are working hard to address this issue. There is currently no need for support from Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters.

The fire started on the third story of the building and quickly spread to the sixth. After receiving the information, fire tenders were quickly deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

PM Modi told the Chief Minister that the Centre will provide all support and assistance in dealing with the crisis. CM Chouhan has announced the formation of a committee to conduct an initial investigation into the causes of the incident. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary (PS) Urban Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary (PS) PWD (Public Works Department) Sukhbir Singh, and Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Fire are members of the committee. In addition, the committee will submit a report to CM Chouhan once they have identified the preliminary cause through their investigation.
