Everything about this house looks like it’s made of stone and has uneven surfaces, the lines, the angles and the whole design has a very organic feel. The interior features a single huge room.
12. Mobile Egg House, Beijing
In an attempt to avoid Beijing’s astronomical rent price, Dai Haifei, a 24-year-old architect has constructed a mobile egg-shaped home from bamboo, wood and grass seed. He spent $964 to build his 6 feet tall, mobile, egg-shaped.
13. The Keret House, Poland
It is the world’s skinniest house as it measures only 122 centimeters at its widest point. Wedged between two existing buildings, the project started with an idea that architect Jakub Szczesny first presented at the WolaArt festival in 2009. The idea was materialized into this installation after three years which will serve indefinitely as a temporary home for traveling writers. The house has no windows but is semi-transparent.
14. Toilet-Shaped House, South Korea
Sim Jae-duck, also known as Mr. Toilet spent $1.1 million to build a toilet-shaped building. Yes, he is the chairman of the World Toilet Association who is very passionate about his job. The house’s main feature is a luxurious bathroom located in the middle of the building with floor-to-ceiling glass that turns opaque with the touch of a button.
15. The Caterpillar House, Chile
Designed by Santiago Irarrazaval Architects and Erick Caro in 2012, the interesting thing of caterpillar house is the distribution of the internal spaces and the way in which the zones interact with each other while maintaining their individuality.
