Bollywood rivalries are no stranger to us. Admittedly, the nature of Bollywood stars is not friendly all the time. Like every other man, they also have rivalries, sometimes within the B-Town. Hence today we have brought you 8 Bollywood rivalries that gained too much notoriety.
1. Bipasha Basu And Kareena Kapoor Khan
Since the very first movie of Bipasha Basu (Ajnabee 2001), she is having problems in cooperating with Kareena Kapoor, who was also in the movie. The rivalry gain heat in the next few years after that, and both of the Bollywood beauties started to take digs at each other's. Bipasha also stated that Kareena made some racist comments about her, on the other hand, Kareena denied that.
2. Kareena Kapoor And Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka and Kareena shared their friendship bond with each other until that moment on “Koffee With Karan”, where in a humorous way, Kareena made a question about Priyanka’s accent. Then the catfight started between the two and a number of mean remarks made by both of them. However, now the rivalry is nearly over.
3. Sonam Kapoor And Deepika Padukone
Both of the actresses debuted in 2007 and Deepika Padukone grabbed success with “Om Shanti Om”. However, Sonam Kapoor’s “Saawaria” ended up being a disaster. The rivalry started right after that and the end doesn’t seem near to this one.
4. Hrithik Roshan And Abhishek Bachchan
Hrithik and Abhishek share same kind of rivalry as Deepika and Sonam share. Both of the actors debuted in 2000 as two of the most anticipated Bollywood star’s kids and everyone has a lot of expectation from both of them. Hrithik was successful in delivering a blockbuster. On the other hand, Jr. Bachchan struggled to make his mark in Bollywood and the rivalry evolved.
5. Preity Zinta And Rani Mukerji
Both of the actresses shared the silver screen multiple number of times. The rivalry started during the shooting of Karan Johar’s "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna". Although, the rivalry remained reticent for a while, but in an episode of “Koffee With Karan” Rani stated that Preity is no longer her friend.
6. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan And Rani Mukerji
Aishwarya was supposed to lead the movie Chalte Chalte opposite to SRK, then Salman jumped in the middle and SRK has to replace Aishwarya with Rani. This led to one of the most notorious Bollywood rivalries between the two actresses.
7. Aamir Khan And SRK
Back in 1995 the two of the actors were best friends until the filmfare awards distribution. Both of them were nominated and SRK ended up winning the award. However, in Aamir’s opinion, there were frauds in distributing the awards, so the actor decided not to attend award ceremonies. The rivalry got pumped up in 2008 when Aamir Khan wrote on his blog "Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for? Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him."
8. Salman Khan And SRK
It is just another example of best friends to bitter enemies. The friendship bond between the two broke back in 2008 when something ambiguous happened in Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. After that, they had one of the most intense Bollywood rivalries, until they reunited again as friends in the marriage of Salman’s sister.
