Human is a curious Creature sometimes it seems very strong sometimes not but one thing which is very strong in all human is survival instinct and this is what kept us alive.

sometimes situations can be very nasty to us but even in the most miserable time, humans thrive to survive But some people go beyond the framework of human imaginations. Here is the list of some people who confronted death several times and came victorious.

 

10. Fidel Castro

Socialist Dictator Of Cuba Fidel Casto is a classic example of failure and courage. Overall in his life from 1959 to 2008, he made 638 failed attempts and the reasons were poor, planning and effect Cuban security. Nothing can be more frustrating than failing this many times but surely one can take motivation every time you fail at something.

 

9. Gabriel Garcia Moreno

Ecuadorian president Gabriel Garcia Moreno from 19th-century showed unliveable instinct before dying. His assassination was done with the great brutality. killers used a Machete to make a cut deep down in his skull. Even after this brutal hit he continued to fight with the killer and lost his both and hands. Even after Moreno lost both hands it took 4 shots to make him dead.

 

8. Tsutomu Yamaguchi

Yamaguchi was the only person in history survived by Nagasaki and Hiroshima attacks. During the first attack, he was there for work and lost his eyesight for some time but returned to work after three days. During the second attack, he was in Hiroshima and got seriously injured but recovered from all. Finally died at the age of 93 in 2010.

 

7. Beck Weathers

Weathers got severely ill during a mountaineering expedition in 1996 and the doctors declared him death for twice. Due to bad weather conditions guide returned back and left climbers behind, by the time help arrived all seems dead and the doctor declared that there is no way out they can save them. After everyone left he somehow managed to crawl and reached base camp. Though he lost his nose and arm due to frostbite of -32 c. He was the only survivor among 12.

 

6. Leon Trotsky

Leon Trotsky was a Marxist revolutionist who had attacked for many times. Once his house, in 1940 got stormed by machine guns and grenades but he survived by hiding under the bed finally he got plunged an ice pick into his skull. he even fought hours after attack.

 

5. Hugh Glass

Famous hunter and explorer Hugh Glass was attacked in 1823 and he had a serious injury to his left leg by the bullet. Just after this incidents he even got attacked by a bear but he survived. Bear took his buckskin out of his body and wounds were so hostile that he asked his friends to stitch with bearskin. His friends were assured of his death and they left him wounded. He showed courage like no one other by crawling 100 miles with a broken leg and wounded back. It took him two months to reach safely.

 

4. Betty Lou Olive

Back in 1945, A US Air Force bombing plane got hit to the 79th floor of Empire State building. The crash was so fierce that 14 people died in this incident. Betty, a lift attendant, thrown in the air. When she was put in the lift by first aiders, lift wires snapped a post. She went straight to the basement from 75th story. Her survival story is still a mystery.

 

3.Jim Bowie

Jim Bowie was an Ameican prisoner in Louisiana 1827. He performed such tasks which can be counted as superhuman’s. He caught himself in a fight with former Sheriff,s, and his friends. He had a shot hit on his hip, struck in the face sharply, stabbed twice in the chest and even shot again. He was considered as lost and dead but kept on fighting and finally killed the sheriff with a knife. He survived 9 years after this incident.

 

2. Lacchiman Gurung

Gorkha Lacchiman Gurung was awarded as Victoria cross in 1945. Gorkha showed the brave spirit in ww2 when Japanese started bombing with grenades he took 3 of them and avoided them to burst near his companions. Though the last one exploded and he lost his right arm. H had the severe injuries to his leg face and other body parts but he kept fighting for four hours and killed 31 enemy soldiers. He finally died at the age of 92. Lacchiman proved that quote right that ‘If a man says he is not afraid of dying either he is lying or either he is Gorkha’.

 

1. Grigori Rasputin

Was famous as the Mad Monk. Grigori Rasputin’s case was one of the most mysterious cases in history. He had faced several attacks. The first attack took place in 1914 by a woman when she stabbed him in abdomen saying that he is Antichrist. 2 years after first attack conspirators laced his food with cyanide which hardly made any effect on him after that they beat him up, stabbed him and shot him with the close range. According to some historical rumors, he got up and fought with his killers just before they were about to dump his body in Malaya River. Forensic reports suggest that he was already dead because of the bullet.
