Who Was Cheems Balltze?

On August 6, 2020, KYM interviewed Kathy, the proprietor of Balltze, as part of an editorial series that delves into the lives of people featured in popular memes. During the meeting, Kathy details how Balltze came into her life and how the original Balltze photos turned into Cheems.

Shiba Inu Doggy Cheems was originally a Hong Kong, China native. The tenderloin gained popularity as the outcome of several memes that involve the letter n being changed to the letter m to make phrases like “it gives me amity.” Due to his fondness for cheeseburgers, often known as cheemsburgers, he got the peculiar moniker “Cheems” in a Reddit chat.

She was adopted by a kind family from Hong Kong shortly after she was just a year old, and they gave given her the name Balltze. Balltze’s family utilized her personality and distinctiveness to gradually develop her own Instagram through social media, where the humorous photos that initially highlighted her love for hamburgers helped her attract followers.

Balltze’s fame didn’t greatly increase until 2017. A nice photo of her looking like she was having a good time helped. She modified her name from Balltze to Cheems, a dog representing the reality of many people in various situations.

Cheems Balltze: The Social Media Influencer

The tenderloin has a significant following on social media. It has a following of 620,000 people solely on Instagram. Its owners post images of the daily activities they conduct with the dog.

Au Revoir Cheems

Balltze, also called “Cheems,” the well-liked dog of memes, died on Friday, August 18. Balltze’s year in 2022 hasn’t been simple. A “black lump” had been found on the Shiba Inu’s paw, according to Balltze’s owner Kathy, who later published an emotional Instagram post telling followers of the development.

“Ball Ball fell asleep on 18/8. He fell asleep on Friday morning during his last thoracentesis surgery. Originally, we wanted to arrange chemotherapy or other possible treatment for him after this operation, but it is too late now

don’t be sad, please remember the joy that Balltze brought to the world. A Shiba Inu with a round smiling face connecting you and me, he has helped many people during the pandemic and brought a lot of joy to many of you, but now his mission has completed. I believe he is running freely in the sky and having a lot of delicious food with his new friends. He will always be inside my heart. I hope he can continue to bring joy to everyone in the online world, that’s my only humble request Also, I would like to thank the medical staff who had helped Balltze for the past 6 months Ken @just.walk_animal.rehab , Dr.Jessica and Dr.Tiffany @amahvethk they have done an amazing job for taking care of Balltze

all of you have been very generous and helpful, and I’m truly grateful to all of you, your love and support to Ball Ball is so unconditional and I found that is the purest love in the world, having Ball Ball in my life is the best thing ever happened

The donation and brass pins money I have collected for the medical bills will be now donating to local animal charities

Thank you everyone, thank you, Balltze knows how much he was loved by all of you.”

The tumor was examined, and a test revealed it to be melanoma. She continued Balltze and underwent “life-saving” toe removal surgery on June 23, 2022.

Again Cheems received a cancer diagnosis in June 2023. Cheems, who just turned 17 and underwent a battery of procedures in Hong Kong, was diagnosed with cancer.

Despite the grim prognosis, they sought the most rigorous and gentle therapy method. But he eventually passed away during the surgery.

Cheems Owner’s Message For Her Followers

Its proprietors encouraged all their followers to never look back on the most watched video on the internet with regret. Their social media platforms were used to initially break the news through a series of emotional comments and images demonstrating how content the puppy was in life. His owners urged the public not to be upset about her loss. Instead, cherish her with the joy that defined her.
