It’s impossible to calculate the single most dangerous stunt ever performed for a movie, due to the fact that there are so many variables of chance and danger with each major stunt.

The most dangerous movie stunts often come from Hong Kong cinema. There is a culture within Hong Kong stunt work that is like no other.  To the point where many of the actual stars of the movies perform their own stunts.

Project A

Take Michelle Yeoh’s stunt in the Jackie Chan (we’ll get to him soon) flick Project A.  No stunt double was used here.

Outside of Hong Kong cinema, Hollywood has some pretty impressive and legendary contenders.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Perhaps the most heralded (Legendary stuntman Vic Armstrong lists this as one of his favorites) is the Truck Drag from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The now famous Burj Khalifa tower building scene had Tom Cruise hanging from the tallest building in the world.  And he wasn’t just hanging.  He was jumping, running, spinning, flipping, and a whole bunch of other INGing.

The Thing

I wouldn’t say it is the most dangerous ever, but it is definitely quite an achievement for an actor, and the fear must be quite high, even in safety conditions.

I’m talking about the Juliette-Thing in the 2011 The Thing Prequel. The actor who originally wore the costume for the creature was burned with a live flamethrower for a good few seconds, with a few re-shoots as well. Do you know most dangerous road in India, check out here.
