The singer suffered from a vocal cord hemorrhage, due to which he had to cancel his concert. In May, he had to postpone seven of his gigs and announced a 10-day vocal rest period. He said, “I hemorrhaged a vocal cord and must let it recover to avoid more harm.”

The bleeding or rupture of blood vessels in the vocal cords, which are fragile structures in the larynx (voice box) responsible for producing sound during speech and singing, is referred to as a vocal cord hemorrhage. This ailment is usually caused by overuse or incorrect use of the voice, such as yelling, screaming, or straining the vocal cords. It is especially common in professionals who use their voices, such as singers, actresses, or public speakers.

The singer underwent surgery in March 2022 because of nodules and blood vessels in his vocal cords. The operation was successful, and the singer announced on Instagram that he was giving his voice a rest.

A vocal cord hemorrhage is usually treated with voice rest, which includes not speaking or singing for a set length of time to allow the vocal cords to recover. Depending on the severity of the hemorrhage, medication, voice therapy, or surgical intervention may be recommended in some circumstances.
