After good games from yesterday, Day 4, FIFA 2018 had four games lined up. The matches were Croatia vs Nigeria, Costa Rica vs Serbia, Germany vs Mexico and Brazil vs Switzerland. Here’s how the matches went down. Read on to know the match summaries of Day 4.
Croatia Vs Nigeria
The match was held at Kaliningrad Stadium. This was the first ever encounter between Croatia and Nigeria. It was bad news for Nigeria as at the 32nd moment, Oghenekaro Etebo scored an own goal giving Croatia a one-point lead. At halftime, the score was 1 – 0. Croatia went on to score one more as Luka Modric scored a Penalty goal. With the score 2 – 0, Croatia won the match.
Costa Rica Vs Serbia
The match was held at Samara Arena. There were many tries by both teams but the score at halftime was 0 – 0. Neither of the teams had scored. It went on the same way till the 56th minute when, Serbian Defender #11, Aleksandar Kolarov scored a goal for his team, giving it a lead. The score was 0 – 1 when the match ended and Serbia bagged the game.
Germany Vs Mexico
The match was held at Luzhniki Stadium. Hirving Lozano scored one for Mexico at the 35th minute, giving Mexico the lead. He is Mexico’s top goalscorer who qualified for World Cup. Even after several attempts from Germany, it was all in vain as Mexico won the match with a 0 – 1 lead.
Brazil Vs Switzerland
Rostov Arena hosted the match. These two teams last encounter was back in 1950, which was a 2 – 2 draw. Brazil was quick to score as Philippe Coutinho scored one for his team at the 20th minute. The score at halftime was 1 – 0. At the 50th minute, Switzerland caught up with Brazil as Steven Zuber scored one for his team, levelling the score as 1 – 1. Despite, several attempts by both teams, the match ended as a draw with a score 1 – 1.
