After an exciting set of games the previous day, Day 9 FIFA 2018 had three matches lined up. They were Brazil Vs Costa Rica, Nigeria Vs Iceland and Serbia Vs Switzerland. Read on to know about the match summaries of Day 9.

 

Brazil Vs Costa Rica

The match was held at Saint Petersburg Stadium. Brazil won 9/10 of their encounters with Costa Rica in the previous years. Despite several attempts from both teams, the score remained 0 – 0 at the halftime. Philippe Coutinho scored at the extra time and gave Brazil the lead. Following that, Neymar also scored giving Brazil a 2 – 0 lead which ultimately made them win the game.

 

Nigeria Vs Iceland

The match was held at Volgograd Arena. Despite several attempts from both teams, the score remained 0 – 0 at the halftime. Ahmed Musa scored first for Nigeria at the 49th minute. He scored another one at the 75th minute giving Nigeria 2 – 0 lead and won the game.

 

Serbia Vs Switzerland

The match was held at Kaliningrad Stadium. Serbia was first to score as Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a goal at the 5th minute giving Serbia the lead. Serbia defended their lead well and the score remained the same at halftime. At the 52nd minute, Switzerland evened the score as Granit Xhaka score one and leveled it out. Xherdan Shaqiri scored one more at the 90th minute, ultimately giving Switzerland the victory with a score 2 – 1.
