Via video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the maiden run of Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express today at 11 a.m. The Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train will resume regular service on May 29 (excluding Wednesdays). Uttrakhand’s First Vande Bharat Express
The semi-high-speed train will be India’s 17th and Uttarakhand’s first-ever Vande Bharat train, beginning its maiden voyage from Dehradun to Delhi’s Anand Vihar terminal. According to an official announcement by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the train is outfitted with exceptional amenities to usher in a new age of luxurious travel experiences, particularly for visitors visiting the state. In addition, the train is equipped with innovative safety measures such as Kavach technology.

Stations And Routes
According to the Economic Times, the train would depart from Anand Vihar in Delhi and stop at Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee, and Haridwar before arriving in Dehradun.

The cost of a seat in an AC chair from Delhi to Dehradun is Rs 1,065, while a seat in an executive chair vehicle would set you back Rs 1,890.
Schedule And stoppages
The state’s first Vande Bharat is planned to leave Dehradun at 07:00 a.m. and arrive at Delhi’s Anand Vihar terminal at 11:45 a.m., while it will leave Anand Vihar at 05:50 p.m. and arrive in Dehradun at 10:35 p.m. It will make stops in Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee, and Haridwar along the way.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), this train would feature superior facilities. “It will usher in a new era of comfortable travel, particularly for tourists visiting the state.” The train has modern safety measures such as Kavach technology.” The indigenously created Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system is referred to as Kavach.
Duration Of The Journey
The normal operations of the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will begin on May 29, according to IRCTC. The train will travel 302 km in four hours and forty-five minutes. Except for Wednesday, it will be open six days a week.
Electrified
During the inaugural ceremony, the Prime Minister dedicated parts of Uttarakhand’s newly electrified train line. According to the PMO, the state’s whole train line will be entirely electrified. The move is part of Indian Railways’ effort to electrify the country’s train networks completely. Trains using electric propulsion on electrified portions are expected to go faster and carry more freight.
