The two leaders joined hands for about 12 seconds. After this, the conversation lasted for about 45 minutes. Trump said that meeting with Kim was very good. And said that Kim could also have a deal with him.

“I feel really great. We’ll have a great discussion and a terrific relationship”

the president told reporters as he sat for the cameras.

“Tremendous success. This will be tremendously successful. It’s my honor.”

added president Donald Trump.

“It’s my honour, and we will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt,”

Kim said through a translator,

“Old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward, but we’ve overcome all of them, and we are here today.”

Only late last month, Trump had canceled the Singapore meeting after the North Korean government called Vice President Mike Pence a “political dummy” for a comment he made likening deposed Libyan despot Moammar Khadafy and Kim. But Washington and Pyongyang got back on the same page and made Tuesday’s meeting happen.

After a meeting with Mr. Kim (with translators) and an extended bilateral meeting as well as working lunch, President Donald Trump hinted at a potential document signing, although it was unclear what that would mean. President also added that “the meetings went better than anybody could imagine”. After a working lunch both the leaders strolled together down a paved walkway before stopping and posing before the media. President Trump said that meeting is going great and we had a really fantastic meeting.

It Was A Success

Furthermore, when asked whether he would invite Kim to the White House to which Trump said:

“Absolutely, I will.”

He also called Kim “a very worthy, very hard negotiator” and “a very talented man” who “loved his country very much“. Kim said the leaders “decided to leave the past behind” and “the world will see a major change“.

“I would like to express my gratitude to President Trump to make this meeting happen. Thank you,” he said.

Kim’s convoy left Sentosa Island in the afternoon after he signed the document with Trump, who stayed behind at the hotel. Barack Obama had warned his successor that dealing with North Korea would likely be among his most pressing of challenges. In response, Trump taunted Kim – nicknaming him “Little Rocket Man” – and promising to “destroy” North Korea if necessary, a threat that was echoed by a procession of senior officials. Most vocal among them was his national security adviser John Bolton. What do you think about this incident? Let us know in the comments below.
