It was Donald Trump‘s first speech at the Republican National Convention since he was fired at by a 20-year-old guy, injuring one of his ears. Donald Trump, who gave the keynote address at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, predicted an “incredible victory” in the US presidential election in November. Appearing to be emboldened by his protection from assassination and the apparent collapse of Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, Donald Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination.

 

The Speech

Donald Trump said in his speech,

“Four months from now, we will have an incredible victory,” Donald Trump started with a bandage over his ear, before vowing to “be president for all of America, not half of America”. Donald Trump describes the horrifying assassination attempt “I felt very safe, because I had God on my side.” “If I had not moved my head at the very last instant, the assassin’s bullet would have perfectly hit its mark, and I would not be with you tonight,” Donald Trump added. “I am not supposed to be here tonight.”

“I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of almighty God. Many people say it was a providential moment.” “We have heard some references to divine intervention at this week’s convention when speakers have been discussing the shooting, and Trump is touching on a similar theme here,” Trump stated. “I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America.”

Taking the platform, Donald Trump chanted “USA” in front of an audience that had extolled his virtues. Hulk Hogan and conspiracy theorist Tucker Carlson were among the acts at the gathering. Carlson called Trump’s survival a historic occasion. Trump has been embroiled in controversies. One of such was his defeat by Biden in the 2020 election and his 34 felony convictions in May. He is getting more optimistic about a surprise comeback to power now that Republicans are closer together.

 

Biden’s Potential Step Down

Due to his deteriorating physical condition, Biden, 81, is on the verge of stepping down. He is being compelled by his Democratic Party to step down. This would make room for Vice President Kamala Harris or another contender. According to AFP, senior Trump aide Jason Miller, “nothing fundamentally changes” for Trump if Biden withdraws.
