In the video, it the groom (Sunil Verma) is seen sitting and completing some wedding rituals and in the corner a man named, Ramchandra was firing shots. It seems like either, Ramchandra was drunk or he was aiming at the groom as he did not fire vertically upward but shot horizontally and ended up hitting, Sunil Verma. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district.

The celebratory firings are considered illegal but still, we see people using arms in the wedding celebrations. It jeopardizes the security of others as they are just one step away from taking a life. Back in November, Delhi Police took a step against this regard and they appealed in High Court to state these kinds of celebrations as illegal later on it was decided that doing celebratory firings can lead to cancellation of armed license.

The law should be stiffer against the celebratory firings. What do you think? Share in the comments.
