Indian woman cricketer Harleen Deol takes one of the most stunning and sensational catches ever in the history of women’s cricket. The incident happened in the 19th over when England’s player Amy Jones was batting at 43 in the first T20I at Northampton. In the bowling of Shikha Pandey, Amy Jones came down the pitch to clear the fence over long-off. The shot was well-timed, and it was looking like the ball will surely travel over the ropes.

However, Harleen Deol, who was fielding at long-off, has some other ideas. As the ball reached her, Harleen jumped to perfection and caught it safely. But, the momentum took her over the boundary line. Harleen was alert and threw the ball up before crossing the ropes. She then jumped, and dove full stretched inside from outside the ropes, and grabbed the sensational catch.

India Lost The Match By DLS Method

However, the DLS method played the spoilsport as India lost to England by 18 runs. The rain interrupted the Indian innings when India was batting at 54/3 in 8.4 overs, chasing the target of 178 runs. For England, Natalie Sciver’s quickfire half-century took England’s total to 177 for 7 in 20 overs.

The second T20I between England Women and Indian Women will be played on Sunday, July 11. You can watch it live at Sony Six from 7 PM onwards. Congratulations, Harleen Deol, for this extraordinary catch.
