1. ‘Waghya’- The Loyal Dog Of Chhatrapati Shivaji
It is said that the loyal dog of Chhatrapati Shivaji jumped into the funeral pyre of Shivaji. He is considered as the symbol of loyalty. Moreover, his statue was carved beside Shivaji’s tomb at Raigarh.
2. Bobbie Travelled For 4,105 Km To Return To His Family
Dogs are ultra-loyal to their family. Back in 1923, a dog named Bobby got separated from his family on a road trip in Indiana. After searching for some time, the family called off the search and reached their home in Oregon. However, Bobby did not lose hope. He traveled all the way and reached his family in Oregon. This took him 6 months, and the distance he traveled was 4,105 km.
3. Talero Protected The Dead Body Of His Master In Snow
An Argentinean man named Bernardo Leónidas Quirós died in a snowstorm. His dog protected his body in the snow by fighting off the wild animals. The dog named Talero did not leave his master’s body even when the police approach to retrieve the body.
4. ‘Baekgu’ Travelled 300 Km To Return To His Master
Baekgu is one of the dogs who showed rare affection for his master. He traveled for 300 Km to get back to his master. He was sold to a man who lived 300 Km away from his owner’s house, but he refused to stay there.
5. The Unnamed Dog Saved His Master By Sacrificing His Own Life
His master is under the influence of alcohol, and he falls asleep on the train tracks. After seeing a train arriving, the dog pulled his master away, but he could not make it and got hit by the train.
6. ‘Fido’ Waited For His Master For 14 Years
Fido would come to the bus stop and receives his master, who would return from work. On 30 December 1943, his master died in an air raid during the second world war. However, Fido’s hopes did not die. He visited the bus stop regularly for 14 years before passing away on 9 June 1958.
7. ‘Hachikō’ Waited For His Master For 9 Years
Likewise, Fido, Hachiko, also used to greet his master. One day his master died of a brain hemorrhage. But Hachiko continued to visit the train station, hoping to see his master return. He never skipped a day and always reached the station at the exact time of the train for continuous 9 years, 9 months, and 15 days. On 8 March 1935, the dog died of terminal cancer.
8. Capitan Watched Over His Masters Grave For 12 Years
A German shepherd named Capitan lost his master in 2006. But the dog ran away from the house and found his master’s grave. He watched over the grave for 12 years before passing away on 20 February 2018.
9. Heart Melting Story Of Tommy
Tommy would visit the Santa Maria Assunta church in Italy with his owner Margherita Lochi. He shared a deep bond with her. He was at the funeral of Margherita and would regularly visit the church after that. Tommy died on 20 January 2014, but his heart-melting story became immortal.
