Delhi’s deadly heatwave is standing out as truly newsworthy as it has killed the city’s most vulnerable residents. Doctors are asking everyone to avoid potential risks and to stay safe during these high-temperature weather conditions. Recently, Doctor Monika Langeh shared the heat stroke case that cannot be ignored.

 

Heat Stroke Tragedies Unfold

In a shocking incident, a heat stroke patient in Delhi was found with a body temperature of 109.5°F. Tragically, this extreme heat is proving deadly. One of the deceased patients had a temperature so high that it exceeded the thermometer’s range. Doctor Monika Langeh has shared the post on X and wrote that three patients were brought in emergency but two were brought dead before arrival. This disturbing situation highlights the serious effect of the ever-increasing heatwave.

The emergency room at a local hospital saw three critical cases recently. Tragically, two patients were already dead upon arrival. One was a guard who succumbed to heatstroke while sitting in a hot shed. The second, a laborer working under the burning sun, experienced vomiting and seizures before dying.

The third casualty, a house helper, was brought with extremely severe symptoms of heat exhaustion and is currently in the ICU.

 

Doctor Monica Langeh Shares Safety Measures

Doctor Monika Langeh, an Emergency Medicine Physician, shared crucial advice to help everybody from this intense heat:

  • Remain Hydrated: Drink a lot of liquids, such as water and coconut water.
  • Dress Smart: Wear light-shaded, baggy cotton clothes. Keep away from nylon and dark colors.
  • Avoid Peak Sun Hours: Try to remain inside between 11 AM and 5 PM.
  • Cool Your Car: Make sure to cool down your vehicle before entering.
  • Top Floor Precautionary Measures: Those living on top levels need to take additional care to stay cool.

This destructive heatwave fills in as a tragic sign of the urgent need to take preventive measures. Stay safe, remain hydrated, and pay special attention to one another during these extreme weather patterns.
