1. Kunchikal Falls, Karnataka
It is the tallest waterfall of India with a height of 1,493 ft is located near Agumbe in Shimoga district of Karnataka. Ranked at 116 in the world’s highest list, you will need a Gate pass to visit this waterfall since it is located in a restricted area. Agumbe valley is among the places in India that receive very heavy rainfall and the India’s biggest waterfall is formed by the Varahi river and lies in the Western Ghats.
2. Barehipani Falls, Odisha
It is a beautiful waterfall located in Simlipal National Park in Mayurbhang, Orissa. This gorgeous waterfall is second highest waterfalls of India with a height of 1,309 ft and is surrounded by deep forest which again adds the wildness to its beauty. Originating from the Bay of Bengal, this two-tiered waterfall is huge and majestic to look at.
3. Nohkalikai Falls, Meghalaya
Located near Cherrapunji, it is one of the wettest places on Earth in East Khasi Hills district Meghalaya. The 3rd highest waterfalls in India with a height of 1,120 ft, is very famous for Hills, rainfall, living bridges and oranges. Nohkalikai Falls are formed with the rainwater that is collected on the summit small plateau.
4. Nohsngithiang Falls, Meghalaya
It is also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the Mawsmai Falls. It is a seven-tiered waterfall that flows from a height of 315 mt (1,033 ft) in Meghalaya. Nohsngithiang Falls look even more enchanting when the sun rays shine bright on the water making them look vibrant.
5. Dudhsagar Falls, Goa –Karnataka
The Sea of Milk is well renowned for its spectacular trajectory is the fifth highest waterfall in India falling from a height of 1020 ft. It’s a great tourist attraction of Goa apart from its exotic beaches. During the monsoon season, the falls are transformed into one of the most powerful falls in India.
6. Langshiang Falls, Meghalaya
Falling from a height of 337 mt (1,106 ft), this waterfall is located in the West Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya. Langshiang Falls of Meghalaya is about 5 km walk from Sangriang village in West Khasi Hills district. You will just feel refreshed.
7. Kynrem Falls, Meghalaya
Kynrem Falls is situated inside a beautiful park known as Thangkharang Park is another popular attraction of Cherrapunjee in East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya.
8. Meenmutty Falls, Kerala
Meenmutty waterfalls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls, falling from a height of some 980 ft in Wayanad district of Kerala.
9. Thalaiyar Falls, Tamil Nadu
Thalaiyar waterfalls also known as rat tail falls situated in Dindigul district of Tamilnadu is one of the biggest water fall at a height of 974 ft. The widest falls is very popular for its dangerous place and dark caves. The spot is still unexplored because there is no road to reach here.
10. Jog Falls, Karnataka
The Jog waterfalls, is created by the Sharavathi river in sharavathi valley of Shimoga district in Karnataka. The Barkana falls formed by the Sita river is another highest waterfall in Karnataka. It is a wonderful location for sightseeing and counted among the ten highest waterfalls in India.
