The day when every Indian’s peace was at the hands of the Indian cricket team. 29th June 2024 proved to be the historic day when the Indian team lifted the T20 World Cup after 17 years. The epic win left the entire nation filled with pride and happiness. Post-win, the Indian team landed back in the nation. The honorable Prime Minister Modi felicitated Team India and had breakfast with them in New Delhi. Here are the highlights of the T20 triumph celebrations.

From the Prime Minister felicitating the cricket team to BCCI handing the team a massive cash prize, a lot has happened after the Indian team brought back the cup. After arriving in Delhi, garlands of flowers and unbeatable desi dhol beats welcomed the Indian team. This couldn’t be any more ‘home’. Surya Kumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma were spotted dancing to the fullest at the dhol beats.

After the celebrations, the team along with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny left ITC Maurya to meet the honorable PM.  One of the iconic moments for the team was to receive felicitation by the PM of India. The Indian squad then drove to the Wankhede Stadium from Nariman Point in a bus parade.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated the Indian squad and got a group picture clicked. He even individually greeted the players. While getting clicked, Mr. Modi held Rohit and Dravid’s hands instead of the trophy.

 

Sea Of People Waited For The Indian Squad

A huge crowd of fans covered the area near Marine Drive in the wait of their beloved champions. Feeling nostalgic?  When Team India, captained by MS Dhoni, won the first-ever T20 World Cup in 2007, the team also paraded through Mumbai in triumph. Huge crowds came to welcome the players.

After the arrival of the Indian cricket team, the parade began in the best way possible. Rohit Sharma thanked the crowd and Pandya raised the silver trophy high in the air. Showcasing the bright trophy to the Indian crowd, the Cricket team probed why they deserve immense love and respect. One of the best highlights is the sweet video of Rohit and Virat together lifting the cup.

 

The Wankhede Stadium Celebrations

The celebrations at the Wankhede began with our national anthem giving goosebumps. With love for the nation in their eyes, our boys stood still with the T20 trophy placed at the center.

From fans chanting ‘Hardik’ to the crowd praising Kohli, the crowd at the stadium went completely berserk. Well, for Pandya the moment was indeed a testimony to his comeback.

Amid the celebration of the sweet triumph, King Kohli praised Bumrah for his astounding skills. Calling him once in a generation bowler, he expressed how glad he is to see Bumrah play for India.  Well, the king of bowling also made a statement regarding his career. Bumrah stated how it is just a start for him and his retirement stays far away at the moment.

 

The Huge Cash Prize For The T20 World Cup Win

Drowned in tricolor the Wankhede Stadium witnessed Jay Shah giving Rs 125 Crore prize money to Team India. The Champions truly deserved it. 4th July 2024, the day the unstoppable Indian squad received the prize for their remarkable performance will always be remembered for the good.

 

BCCI’s Emotional Post

BCCI took to X to express about today’s celebrations. Captioning the post as ” This Day. This Celebration. This Reception”, BCCI shared emotional pictures of the Indian squad celebrating their win. The emotions are well expressed through pictures. The joyful clicks narrate a story of their own. A story of hard work, pain glory, and victory. This triumph is in true terms what we call “WELL DESERVED”.
