According to Portland Police, the remains of Kristin Smith, who was reported missing in December of the last year, were found about two months later in a forested area in Southeast Portland’s Pleasant Valley on Thursday.
Who Was Kristin Smith?
Kristin Smith, 22, was last seen in December 2022. Her body was discovered almost two months later, on February 19. The Portland Police Department received a complaint of human remains found along Southeast Flavel Street and Southeast Deardorff Road in Pleasant Valley.
Authorities started a confirmation and identification process to ensure her remains were hers. Her family was later informed of the awful discovery.
