One of the most popular visas for Indian professionals looking to work in the US is the H1-B visa, which is for international guest workers. March 22 is the last day to register for the fiscal year 2025 H-1B visa for international guest workers.
The first registration period for H-1B visas—a popular option for Indian professionals—opened on March 6. According to a statement from a federal official, the initial sign-up session for H-1B visas for fiscal 2025 is scheduled to end on March 22 at 1:30 pm IST (noon Eastern Time).
The registration period commenced on March 6. Potential petitioners and their attorneys must use the “myUSCIS” online account offered by US Citizenship and Immigration Services to file a petition.
How To Apply?
1. Choose Your Account Type
Applications, petitions, and other benefit requests can be assembled and submitted using the applicant/petitioner/requestor account. Nevertheless, H-1B registrations cannot be made using this account. This account is for use by qualified attorneys or representatives registering H-1B petitions on behalf of prospective petitioners. Moreover, they may turn in Form G-28. In order to participate in the H-1B registration process, potential petitioners must have an Organizational Account (previously a Registrant Account).
2. Create An Online USCIS Account
Go to https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ on the USCIS website to register for an online account. To establish an account, enter your email address, choose a password, and respond to the security questions, as instructed by the on-screen instructions.
3. Mistakes That Should Not Occur When Registering H-1B Online
Select the Correct Account: To prevent registration issues, select the correct account type. Don’t enter the same beneficiary more than once to save mistakes and hassles. Registration cost: Each registration has a $10 cost.
4. Important Date
Till February 28, 2024, 12:00 Eastern Time, applicants and registrants may submit H-1B registrations. The H-1B filing period opens on March 6, 2024, at 12:00 Eastern Time. The H-1B application process closes at 12:00 Eastern Time on March 22, 2024. The date that USCIS intends to notify the chosen registrants is March 31, 2024. The earliest date on which petitions for the H-1B cap for the fiscal year 2025 may be presented as an elective cap during the primary election for that year is April 1, 2024.
