Indian Box Office Gets 400 Crore In 4 Days With Jailer, Gadar 2, And OMG 2 Dominating The Show

Before Independence Day, the box office got a boost from films like Jailer, Gadar 2, OMG 2, Bholaa Shankar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Oppenheimer, which had a combined national revenue of Rs 403 crore. Rajinikanth’s Jailer Takes The First Place

Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which had an All India Gross of Rs 162 crore, is currently in first place. The Nelson Dilipkumar movie is preparing for a great day on August 15 after selling almost 93 lakh tickets throughout its four-day run.

 

Gadar 2’s Opening Weekend Record

Despite a 3-day weekend, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 was able to go head-to-head with the Rajinikanth movie. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, earned an estimated Rs 134.88 crore in all of India. The stage is now set for the movie to soar much higher during the week of the holidays. Gadar 2 is highly expected to surpass Jailer by the end of the week.

 

OMG 2 Is Definitely A Hit

The social dramedy OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi, came in next with an All India Gross of Rs. 43.11 crore after selling almost 20 lakh tickets over the course of the weekend. While the two films stated above are sure to be enormous box office hits, OMG 2 is quickly approaching the HIT status at the Indian Box Office.

The next movie on the list is Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar. This movie is perhaps the only dud movie to have appeared on the Independence Day weekend. The movie attracted 16 lakh viewers during the course of its 3-day run and earned Rs 22 crore in revenue.

The third weekend saw a continuation of the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani directed by Karan Johar. The movie earned Rs 10.20 crore and sold 3.75 lakh tickets.

Despite having some deserving competition from films like Gadar 2, Jailer, and OMG 2, Oppenheimer has also been able to generate some revenue at the box office. 1 lakh seats were sold for the Christopher Nolan movie, which made Rs 5.85 crore overall.

Around 1 lakh tickets were sold for films including Barbie, Mission Impossible 7, Bro, Meg, and Baby this weekend, with a total gross of Rs 5 crore.

Over the previous four days, more than 2 crore 10 lakh individuals attended movie theatres, generating a total revenue of Rs 403 crore (Gross) for the Indian theatrical industry. The Indian Box Office has seen one of its finest weekends ever. This proves that the theatre industry is still strong.
