When we talk about royalty what comes to your mind? A king, a queen, prince/princess, a large palace, luxuriousness, royal food, royal lifestyle, and all that. In this generation, we grew up hearing about them but We never saw them in real life. From 1971 onwards, many of the Indian kings gradually lost their regime and Royalty. But still, in 2021, some of their princely families are living with all of their legacies and royalty and here we are introducing a few of those royal families who have been living, enjoying, and maintaining their imperial standard from generation to generation.
1. The Royal Mewar Family (Rana Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar)
Mewar Dynasty is one of the most popular and respected royal dynasties in India. Whenever there is talk of the Mewar dynasty, Maharana Pratap’s name comes first. His descendant Rana Sriji Arvind Singh Mewar is the 76th guardian of the dynasty. He is well popularly known in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He lives in Udaipur with his family and runs Luxurious Hotels, Heritages, and Various Charities all over Udaipur.
2. The Royal Family Of Wadiyar
The Yadav Wadiyar Dynasty is the second-largest kingdom in the world and currently, the guardian of this dynasty is Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. He became the 27th king at the age of 23 years. The Wadiyar Kingdom belongs to Mysore, Karnataka, India that’s why it is also called the Mysore Kingdom. This Royal Family has been running since around 1399.
Their Royal and Luxurious Palace “The Maharaj Palace” is the most famous place in Mysore city. King Yaduveer Krishnadatta has completed his degree in English Literature and Economics. He has the Factory of Silk which was founded in Sri Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar in 1912. King Yaduveer Krishnadatta was the 24th Maharaja of Mysore. He created the brand The Royal Silk of Mysore.
3. The Pataudi Nawab Family
This Royal Family The Paaudi Nawab Family is well known all over the world. Some of the descendants of this royal family are very popular and you all know them very well such as Nawab and Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Princess and Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan, and Sara Ali Khan.
The Pataudi Dynasty was founded by Md. Faiz Ali Talab Khan in 1804 in British India. Nawab Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Siddiqui Pataudi was the eighth and the last ruler of the Pataudi. He was also a cricketer. After him, his son Mansoor Ali Khan became the ninth Nawab of the Pataudi family and now Saif Ali Khan is the Head of this Royal Family since October 2011. He is a renowned Bollywood actor and producer as well as the owner of an ethnic brand House Of Pataudi.
4. The Royal Family Of Jodhpur
The Royal Rathore Family of Jodhpur, India Is one of the ancient dynasties of the 8th century. In Present Maharaja Gaj Singh Is the guardian of the Rathore Dynasty. This Royal Family has various Ancestral properties including their large house in Jodhpur, Rajasthan where they live with his family. Other than this Maharaja Gaj Singh has Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
Maharaj Gaj Singh is also a politician and member of the Indian Parliament. Also, he established a girls school by the name of her mother “Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School” which comes on the list of the best schools in India. Maharaja Gaj Singh is living his life full of luxury and royalty and Often gets in the headlines for their popularity and statements.
5. The Royal Family Of Alsisar
Rajasthan is the state which is the motherland of various popular kings. The Alsisar Dynasty is also one of the popular and classy Princy Family in Alsisar, Rajasthan and currently, its head is Kunwar Abhimanyu Singh. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management. Now he is the owner of Alsisar Hotel which is now converted into the Heritage Hotel.
Abhimanyu Singh is also known as the King of Khetri. He has various mansions and palaces in Jaipur and Ranthambore, Rajshatan. He also has a 1953 United States Army Jeep that spans over three generations. Even he held the electric dance Festival and Magnetic Field in his Alsisar Palace.
6. The Royal Family Of Rajkot
The head and the 17th king of this Rajkot Raj family is Prince Mandhatasinh Jadeja. He Recently crowned as a king on 30 January 2020 and his Coronation ceremony was held from 27 January to 30 January in his princely state Rajkot, Gujrat. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, some other state ministers, and a few royal families participated in the ceremony.
This Rajkot Raj family has various Ancestral assets including Palaces and hotels but currently, prince Mandhatasinh Jadeja is converting their assets into heritage hotels. King Jadeja also invested around INR 100 crore in Biofuel Development and Hydropower plant. Also, he tied up with the US pizza to open a pizza store in Gujrat. Apart from King, Businessman, Mandhatasinh Jadeja is also a politician. He has been a Congress MLA five times and the State Finance Minister. Later in the year 2009, he joined the BJP.
