Some of us dream of becoming a pilot. It is not an easy job to take responsibility for hundreds of people. But some do it and nail it. One such female is from Vijayawada, Pathankot in India. Anny Divya an Indian female pilot with Air India has become the world’s youngest female Boeing 777 commander and it is a proud achievement.
Childhood Story
She always wanted to fly and become a pilot. It was her childhood dream. Also, her father was in the Indian Army. In one of her interviews, she said, “I always wanted to become a pilot, from my childhood”. She added, “I didn’t have anybody around who knew about piloting at that time. I had no guidance, I just wanted to fly”.
Also, she was from a very small city of Vijayawada. It was a big obstacle for her to adapt to city life and she faced many barriers. People used to mock her for her poor English, her way of dressing, and her education. Also, she said her parents always supported her in her dreams even though the society not accepting her wish of becoming a pilot.
Her Journey
She completed her training when she was 19 years old only from IGRUA flying school in UP. And then she got a job with Air India and went Spain for training after a year. She flew Boeing 737 after coming back from Spain. Also, she further went to London for training. And it was then she was taught to fly a Boeing 777. It changed her life. She has traveled to many countries and learned a lot. She became the world’s youngest female to fly a Boeing 777.
She is a role model for young girls who wish to become pilots in future. Also, she is a perfect example of what you can do with hard work and perseveration.
