Will there be anyone who doesn’t like stories? Be it a horror or thriller or comedy or tragedy anything it could be, everyone shows interest in listening to it. Some are highly curious. These days, Internet has become a place to share viral stories. If Internet existed in ancient days, for sure these stories would have gone viral.
1. The Skaters thriller story
After reading this story, you will say time punishes those who commit mistakes. Just we need to wait with patience. Back in 90’s, there were two famous skaters Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding who were strictly in severe competition with each other. In order to ruin Nancy’s career, Tonya arranged her ex-husband Shane Stant to break her opponent Nancy knees. When Nancy was going home after her practice, she was badly hit on her knees with a metal baton by Shane Stant. But by god’s grace nothing that damaging occurred.
Tonya was caught guilty about this and pleaded for mercy where she was fined heavily and was banned from her skating.
Now, Nancy continued to skate and received a number of lucrative endorsements, married, and became a mother. Whereas, Tonya’s life was ridden with other scandals and hardship, including a leaked sex tape and an arrest for drunk-driving and her career got ruined.
2. Football Star horrific story
American football star and actor, O.J. Simpson was arrested for killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. In 1997, Simpson was found liable for these murders and had to pay heavily to Brown and Goldman for the damage he made to them. Later on he tried to get back into the business but failed. He had to spend all his luxury to pay for his civil suit. Again, in 2008, he was charged of arm robbery and kidnapping for which he was sentenced to 33 years of prison and will be eligible for parole in October 2017.
3. Charles Manson, an American Cult Leader
Charles Manson had around 100 followers were involved in murdering many people in late 1960’s. His followers believed him to be Jesus and did whatever was told by him. His first few victims were Sharon Tate who was 8 months pregnant, the actress who was the wife of director Roman Polanski and four of her friends: Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring, and Steven Parent.
Mason was charged of murder and was given death sentence on January 25th. However, it was later changed to be a life imprisonment. He is denied parole 12 times and is still serving his punishment. He also made headlines in 2014 when he and a woman named Afton Elaine Burton were granted a marriage license. His next hearing is scheduled for 2027 when he would be 92 years old.
4. The Afghan Girl beautiful green eyes story
An afghan girl named Sharbat Gula had beautiful eyes that she was shown on National Geographical channel for her immensely beautiful green eyes. Steve McCurry captured the picture of her eyes and did not forget her even after 17 years. He captured her picture first during the time when she was a refuge and going to her school.
After 17 years he found out that she was married and having three kids. But she is remembered for her beautiful eyes. Recently, she got arrested on two occasions for possessing a fake identity card in Pakistan.
5. Rachel Giordano, The Lego Girl
When Rachel was a 4 year old, she was put on advertisement of lego by Judy Lotas in 1980. The ad’s idea was to promote gender equality by showing that creativity is not a boy thing or a girl thing. But it became quite controversial that Lotas had a tough time to convince people that a girl could also be interested in building things. She had to fight a lot to bring up this ad, as this was her idea to portray gender equality. Lotas stood her ground and was rewarded with one of the most powerful, iconic ads of all time.
According to Lotas, “Boys and girls are different, but not to the exclusion of wanting to create and build. That is not a gender issue.”Well a really inspiring message for all of us.
Now, the tiny little girl has grown up to be a doctor and revisited Lego world and with the help of Lori Day, a psychologist, parenting coach, and HuffPost blogger remade the 1980’s scene in 2014 showing the difference between the children of then and now.
