In a horrific incident, a drunk driver driving a car near Nahargarh, Jaipur, collided with nine pedestrians on the road, resulting in three deaths and six people sustaining major injuries. The surprise hit-and-run event occurred at 9:15 PM on Monday within a packed and constricted path.

Estimates indicate that driver Usman Khan operated his vehicle under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. High speed and reckless driving led him to lose control of his vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the moving vehicle made unpredictable turns before multiple pedestrians barely avoided impacts from its path. Civilians in the street yelled out in fright after the vehicular disturbance.

During his initial collision, Usman Khan struck both a motorcycle and then a scooter. He smashed his vehicle into three cars, which created extensive panic within the community. He struck several vehicles before he attempted to escape from the crash scene.

 

Congress Expels Accused Member Usman Khan

The driver crashed his vehicle three times during his attempt to flee from the police. The residents succeeded in apprehending the driver. Before handing him over to police custody, the angry people physically assaulted him.

Mamta Kanwar (50), Awadhesh Pareek (37), and Virendra Singh were identified as the individuals who lost their lives during the disaster. The hospital staff received all nine victims after residents provided immediate help for those suffering injuries. The accident claimed two victims on the evening of Monday, before the third died from injuries in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Congress Party included Usman Khan as one of its members. After this incident, the Congress Party removed him from his role in the district working committee. Facebook records showed that his final message proclaimed innocence for everything he ever did in life right before the car accident occurred.

People in Jaipur are profoundly dismayed by the recent event. The investigating team continues its work as many citizens ask for strict punishment for the perpetrator. This hit-and-run incident has generated extensive concerns about highway security as well as issues linked to driving under the influence of alcohol.
