Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah had tied the knot with sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan in March. The couple is currently in the United Kingdom. Jasprit Bumrah is performing brilliantly in the ongoing India vs. England series in England. While Sanjana Ganesan is a part of the broadcasting unit. Sanjana Ganesan has often been seen in the stands cheering for Team India and Jasprit Bumrah. She is also seen chilling out with the other WAGS who are a part of the Indian touring party.
Jasprit Bumrah is a shy person. Recently he was interviewed by Dinesh Karthik. Dinesh Karthik is also in the United Kingdom and is a part of the broadcasting unit. During the interview, Jasprit Bumrah talks about his equation with his wife Sanjana Ganesan and how it has changed after the marriage. Jasprit Bumrah also confessed his first impression of Sanjana Ganesan in the candid chat with Dinesh Karthik. Jasprit Bumrah said in an interview,
“I had obviously seen her a lot of times but we had the same problem with each other. She thought I was really arrogant, I thought she was really arrogant so we never really spoke. I spoke to her for the first time during the 2019 World Cup when she was here covering the event. We became friends and started talking a lot. It’s been good, we have been married for five months now, so yeah very happy.”
Jasprit Bumrah also talks about how he manages things when on tour as his wife is also with him on most occasions. He admits that Sanjana understands the pressure he goes through and handles it well. He added,
“She understands the sport, she understands what the player goes through, so whenever things don’t go well or go well, we have a lot of interesting conversations, that really helps me. And, obviously, playing cricket and traveling all the time, you’ve got your wife with you now, so, you really have to focus on other things as well.”
Jasprit Bumrah has been brilliant in this series so far. He has picked up 18 wickets in four Test matches and scored 87 runs in the lower order. India is 2 -1 ahead in the series. The final Test match between India and England will start from September 10 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
