The film’s third week saw no signs of slowing down as it raked in Rs 7.60 crore on Friday, followed by a staggering Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday. Sunday was equally impressive, with “Jawan” amassing Rs 14.95 crore in all languages. The film’s journey, however, is expected to face a dip on Monday, estimating earnings of approximately Rs 5 crore. This sets the film’s total earnings at approximately Rs 568.50 crore by its third Monday.
Multilingual Appeal
“Jawan” has not limited its success to Hindi-speaking regions alone. In Tamil and Telugu markets, it recorded an impressive 46.92% and 24.86% occupancy, respectively, on the same day. Notably, the film sold an astonishing 6,19,886 tickets in tracked shows across India, accumulating a handsome Rs 13.90 crore by Sunday. The film’s remarkable performance extends to national multiplex chains, where it sold approximately 1.05 lakh tickets in PVR, 68,870 tickets in INOX, and 41,023 tickets in Cinepolis, translating to a total ticket sales revenue of Rs 7.40 crore.
Global Domination
On the global stage, “Jawan” has scripted history by becoming the fastest Bollywood movie to cross the coveted Rs 1,000 crore threshold. Remarkably, it achieved this milestone in under 10 days. Thus solidifying its status as the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of all time worldwide. The film has also made waves internationally. Securing a spot among the top 10 films in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the UAE during its third weekend.
The Atlee Masterpiece
Directed by Atlee, “Jawan” is a high-octane action thriller. That delves into the profound journey of a man determined to rectify society’s ills with the support of a group of women.
