As the third week commenced, ‘Jawan’ exhibited its unwavering box office prowess, collecting Rs 7.60 crore on Friday, Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday, and a staggering Rs 14.95 crore on Sunday. The film’s momentum remained strong, with Rs 5.40 crore on Monday and approximately Rs 4.86 crore on Tuesday. It is poised to amass around Rs 4.60 crore on Wednesday, propelling its estimated total to Rs 577 crore.
Occupancy Across India
With an overall 13.21% occupancy in Hindi shows on Tuesday, ‘Jawan’ continued to captivate audiences across the nation. Theatres in Chennai (25.50%), Lucknow (15.75%), and Mumbai (15.50%) contributed significantly to its occupancy. Other key regions, including Hyderabad, the National Capital Region (NCR), Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, also played their part in the film’s impressive Hindi showings.
Regional Appeal
The film’s appeal extends beyond Hindi-speaking regions, with an overall 20.16% occupancy in Tamil shows and 15.95% in Telugu shows on the same day. Notable contributions came from Pondicherry (43.50%), Salem (30.67%), Karimnagar (33.25%), and Vizag-Vishakhapatnam (21%). ‘Jawan’ is not just a domestic sensation. Globally, it achieved the unprecedented feat of crossing the Rs 1,000 crore mark in just 19 days, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s own ‘Pathaan,’ which took 27 days. The film also made history by becoming the first Bollywood movie to gross $1 million in Bangladesh. It reigns as the highest-grossing Indian film in the Gulf, Australia, and Singapore markets.
