The controversy broke out when Supriya Shrinaete made an offensive post showcasing Kangana Ranaut. In the caption, she wrote, ‘Kya bhav chal raha hai mandi me koi batayega.’
Later, when Supriya Shrinate found that things were going ugly, she deleted the post. She claimed that someone else who had access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts made that objectionable post. Supriya Shrinate also blamed on the parody account on X, is misusing her name.

In response to the offensive post, Kangana Ranaut turned to her social media and reacted to Supriya Shrinate’s post. Kangana Ranaut wrote,
Dear Supriya ji In the last 20 years of my career as an artist I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii.
We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above the curiosity about their body parts and above all we must refrain from using sex workers challenging lives or circumstances as some kind of abuse or slur… every woman deserves her dignity… 🙏
BJP Calls For Action Against Supriya Shrinate
In response to Supriya Shrinate’s remark on Kangana, the BJP wants Congress to take immediate action against Supriya Shrinate and dismiss her. BJP leader Amit Malviya considers this remark unacceptable and says she must be removed from the party’s membership indefinitely. Even Smriti Irani commented on Kangana’s post and called her a Woman of Steel. She wrote,
“This initiation into politics by fire @KanganaTeam is not a reflection on who you are but on what they have done & are capable of continuing to do for they can’t fathom how to deal with women of steel. March onto victory. Vijayi Bhav!”
