An 11-year old kid Saisha lives in Noida’s sector 143. On the occasion of New year’s eve, the kid ordered Black Forest cake on Swiggy from the nearest cake shop. After half-an-hour, the family received the call from the delivery executive. He told that he is at the location but there is no such shop exists at this location. Well, these kind of cases are increasing rapidly and puts the question on the food delivery platforms. If the restaurants are unserviceable or not operational then they are displayed on the list. This creates confusion among the customers and they order from the restaurants that are closed or not operational. If the food joints are unserviceable then why they are not removed from the apps.

There was a similar case through Zomato. A couple decided to have meals at the restaurant, but when they reached the location, they found that the restaurant was not operational. One such incident was with Zomato when a customer ordered vegetarian food and the restaurant delivered non-veg food. Based on these incidents, one thing that is clearly missing from these apps is the lack of coordination from the restaurants.

So next time if you are planning to order from any new restaurants make sure the restaurants are real and operational. Does this kind of incident happen with you? Let us know in the comments below.
