Do you know that your microwave acts like the swiss army knife of your kitchen? It can do things you never dreamed of!
So, what are you waiting for?
Get ready to impress your friends and colleagues. Here are the 10 fabulous things you can do with your microwave.
1. You can avoid tearing up while chopping onion
Just cut the ends off an onion and microwave it for 30 seconds. And tears won’t come while chopping.
2. Wanna nice quick snack?
Put a few pieces of bacon over the bottom of a bowl with a plate placed underneath in the microwave.
3. Smell of garlic will not stick to your fingers
If you chop onions and garlic, that smell sticks to your fingers whole the day. And peeling the skin off garlic demands lot of patience. So, just heat the head of garlic in the microwave for about 20 seconds and the cloves will slide right out of their skins. Your fingers won’t smell like garlic.
4. Get the maximum juice out of a lemon
Put the lemon in the microwave for a few seconds until the skin feels warm. And you will see that not even one drop of lemon juice is left.
5. You can remove the stamp from letters
Dab it with a few drops of water and put it in the microwave to peel it off easily.
6. Make crispy potato chips
Chop potatoes into thin slices and put them in the microwave for three minutes on each side. And your potato chips are ready!
7. Sterilize your cutting board after chopping meat
For this, wet the board, soap it on top and microwave it for a few seconds.
8. Get a makeshift heating pad
Fill a sock with uncooked rice and microwave it for a few seconds.
9. Make caramel sauce
Cook sugar, water, corn syrup and lemon juice whisked together for 5-8 minutes until it turns golden in colour. Now, cool it off and whisk in the vanilla and butter.
10. You can clean your nasty sponges too
Just squeeze a little dish-soap on top of it and microwave.
