Kollam Sudhi, a well-known Malayalam actor and television personality, was injured in a car accident on Monday morning. Kollam Sudhi passed away in the accident. Furthermore, three other artists, Binu Adimali, Ullas Aroor, and Mahesh, who were traveling with him, were injured. According to authorities, the event occurred in Thrissur.
Who Was Kollam Sudhi?
Sudhi, a well-liked character, rose to fame after appearing on the famous Malayalam TV show Star Magic, which aired on the Flowers channel. The show consists of satirical skits and performances by various television and mimicry artists. Sudhi’s energetic interactions with other contenders and amusing makeovers won him a following large base, particularly among regular television viewers. Sudhi also made significant contributions to the Malayalam film industry. He made his film debut in Kanthari in 2015 and received critical acclaim for his role in Kattapanayile Hrithik Roshan. Sudhi also demonstrated his talent in the film Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan.
Kollam Sudhi’s Car Crash
According to reports, the group of artists was returning from an event in Vadakara when the tragic accident occurred. The car accident took place at around 4:30 a.m. in Kaipamangalam. The accident happened when their car collided with a truck.
Moreover, Sudhi, sitting in the car’s front seat, had a head injury that resulted in his death. The survivors are currently being treated in a private hospital in Kodungallur and will be transferred to an Ernakulam hospital for more sophisticated treatment in the near future.
The police statement read, “It was a head-on collision. All of them were taken to the hospital, but Sudhi lost his life. The other three are undergoing treatment.”
Tribute To Kollam Sudhi
According to news agency PTI, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan extended his sympathies on the death of Kollam Sudhi. Furthermore, Sudhi was honored for his services to several television shows and participated in a few films as well.
Kalabhavan Shajohn, an actor, sent a statement on Instagram in memory of Sudhi. The tweet included a photograph of the late actor and the caption, “To a dear friend… Condolences…”
