India has extended the lockdown till May 17. It will be the third phase of lockdown. Lockdown 3 will start from May 4 and continue till May 17. All the cities are divided into three zones red, orange, and green. All the shopping malls, gyms, schools, colleges, temples, mosques, gurudwaras, churches will remain close. The lockdown is extended as a precaution from coronavirus. The Home Ministry has extended the lockdown for the safety of the people.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has a press release the extension of lockdown for 2 more weeks effective from May 4. Below is the press release.

No trains, flights, and metros will run till May 17. In the green zone, 50 percent of buses will run. In orange and green zones, e-commerce and online deliveries are allowed for non-essential items as well. There is a total of 130 red zones, 284 orange zones, and 319 green zones. In the orange zone, a taxi can have two people along with the driver. All the citizens below 10 years and above 65 years are not allowed to go outside from the home in all the zones.

In red zones, all IT sector, call centers are allowed to open with the strict terms and conditions. In the orange zone, paid taxis are allowed to run. In the green zone, factories, transports, and shops are allowed to open with strict terms and conditions.  Below are the cities that come under the red zone.

Andhra Pradesh: Kurnool, Guntur, Nellore, Prakasham, Krishna, YSR, West Godavari, Chittor, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Anantapur

Andaman and Nicobar Island: South Andaman

Bihar: Anantapur

Chandigarh: Chandigarh

Chhattisgarh: Korba

Delhi: South, South East, Shahdara, West, North, Central, New Delhi, East, South West

Gujarat: Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot

Haryana: Noah, Gurugram, Parval, Faridabad

Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar, Bandipora, Baramulla, Jammu, Udhampur, Kupwada

Karnataka: Bengaluru Urban, Mussoorie, Belagavi

Kerala: Kannur, Ernakulam, Kasaragod, Malapuram, Pathanamthitta
