Abdul Qadir was traveling with his wife and 8-year-old son; the family was traveling from Hyderabad to Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. They had a layover at Bhopal’s Rani Kamala Pati railway station when he urgently needed to urinate but couldn’t find a restroom nearby. To use the restroom, Abdul boarded the Indore-bound Vande Bharat train. However, upon exiting the bathroom, he realized that he was trapped inside and the vehicle had started moving. This move set the poor man up for a rather expensive experience. Despite seeking help from the ticket collector and police personnel on the vehicle, Qadir could not open the doors. Abdul expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of emergency services at the Vande Bharat train. This incident exposed the flaws in the emergency services provided by the train.
